Heiterwang
The typical Tyrolean village of Heiterwang is located at almost 1000 m high in a wide valley at the entrance to the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and dotted with sun-convenient lodges round the lovely Heiterwanger See Lake, the resort makes a perfect base for THE ultimate winter holiday! The ski area is close proximity and offers runs of all difficulty levels. Heiterwang also provides great off-piste enjoyment, with its marked winter hiking trails, a prepared toboggan run and a natural ice skating rink with curling area.Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena
Gorgeous mountains, traditional villages and a snow-white, enchanting sea of peaks make up the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. Framed by the Mieminger and Wetterstein mountain chains is the Ehrenwalder basin, where the seven Zugspitz Arena resorts are to be found. Whether skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, ice skating or hiking, pretty much everything is possible in and around the Zugspitz Arena resorts. In addition to sporting activities, the resorts entice visitors on a shopping stroll or in for a snack in a cosy inn. There is snow security through until spring on the Zugspitzplatt in the Zugspitz glacier area. In addition to the Zugspitz, a further 6 ski areas are available.
