Ski area Kasberg

The ski area Kasberg is situated right next to the town of Grünau. With its 23 km of pistes the ski area is quite manageable and because of that especially popular with families and their children.

In the last couple of years the ski area at the Kasberg was extended and became a top winter sports area. 10 lifts in total take skiers up the mountain. Moreover, there is a ski carousel with snow tubes, as well as three magic carpets for the smallest skiers, which are located in Brunos Kinderskiarena - a place where the young ones can take their first swings in the snow. Special highlights: the fairy tale forest and a children's race track where the mascot Bruno sometimes encourages the little ones. The trainers of the local ski school give them guidance.

If the snow conditions do not play along, 80% of the mostly north-facing pistes can be covered with artificial snow.

Apart from the fun on the pistes and in the snow park, there are several rustic ski huts for taking a break: Hochberghaus, Sonnalm, Gasbergalm-Hütte or Sepp-Huber-Hütte - every winter sport lover will find the right place for catching a breath; panoramic view of the alpine countryside included.
