Ski area Großarltal-Dorfgastein

The lift pass "Ski amadé" gives you access to a jaw-dropping 760 km of piste and 270 lifts (see ski region). The ski resort Großarl and Dorfgastein are right in the centre of the "Ski amadé" ski area and thus provide ideal conditions for an allround great ski holiday!

The ski area "Großarltal-Dorfgastein" offers 73 km of piste (incl. 10 km of ski routes), which are connected with 17 lifts. The free-of-charge ski bus takes you to the valley station or to the nearby ski areas of the "Ski amadé" region, such as St. Johann. The ski area Großarl has some particular advantages, e.g. the countless wide pleasure and family slopes as well as the huge offer of huts in the ski area. More advanced skiers will also find suitable pistes here. Carvers will love e.g. the "Kühhageralm" or the red piste going down from the mountain station of the Wengerhochalm lift. You're in for a challenge with the "Finstergrube" run or the approx. 7 km long valley run.

Children have plenty of space just for themselves in the kids area at the drag lift Kreuzhöhe. There is e.g. a wave run, a snow tunnel and a jump. Freestylers find some good terrain in the fun park just above the mountain station at the Sonnenbahn lift.

Further bonus points for the ski area "Großarltal-Dorfgastein": Several Wi-Fi hotspots ensure that you can stay in touch with friends and family at home. For the little breaks in between, there are "Ruhe Platzl", little quiet places where you can have a lie-down on one of the loungers to recharge the batteries.

Après ski Großarl

Cosy lodges all across the ski area welcome skiers for extensive breaks in a chilled-out atmosphere. At the end of the ski day though, the umbrella bar "Auhof-Treff" as well as the bars and discos "Piccolo" and "Das Pub" are hotspots for après ski fans. If you prefer a rather quiet one, then the restaurants and guest houses know how to spoil you.

But it's not just the piste where you can remain active - the 3 km long lit up toboggan run at Hotel Lammwirt, or a hike through the snowy landscape are great options to keep you entertained. A total of 35 km of winter hiking tracks stretch across the Großarltal. Or how about a guided snowshoe hike to take you place independent hikers wouldn't reach? In the leisure centre you can go ice-skating or curling as well.

For a rather relaxed evening you should take advantage of the numerous spa offers in the thermal baths in Bad Gastein or Bad Hofgastein (approx. 45-60 min drive).

Snowpark: Snowpark & Funslope Grossarltal Großarl

On the Großarl side of the ski area, at the mountain station of the Sonnenbahn lift, a fantastic snow park can be found. It measures approx. 500 m in length and offers rails, slides, wave lengths, wallrides and boardercross. Beginners can try out the easy line here. Right next to that, a fun slope with tunnels and steep curves can be found, it is connected by the drag lift Kreuzhöhe. A SkiMovie run is located at this run. If you need a break from all the jibbing and freestyling, the Chill Area can be used.
