Ski area Dachstein West

With the "Dachstein-West" lift pass, you have access to 131 diverse kilometres of piste, accessible via 57 lifts. Beginners, intermediates and of course experts will find the right runs here. Typical for the region are wide, easy to intermediate runs through dense winter forests. The free ski buses provide easy transfer between the resorts in the Dachstein-West region, allowing you to reach and use all the highlights without a problem.

The "Gaudi" pistes also promise real skiing pleasure: slalom course with time measurement, snowcross area and a wave piste.

Many fun children's lands and children's clubs ensure a successful family holiday. The youngest among the winter sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to let off steam in Brumsiland at the Hornspitzbahn - on a small boardercross course, for example, or slalom through the fairytale figures. The Bear Camp, Fuxi's Kinderland, Zwisiland, magic carpets and fun parks specially designed for children also make children's hearts beat faster.

Since the 2016/17 season, there is the panoramic ski circuit "Panoronda" with a total length of 44 km. A varied experience on perfectly groomed and marked slopes. Rustic huts and sun terraces invite you to take breaks, especially to enjoy the dreamlike view.

Do you want to share your skiing-day experiences with your family and friends? No problem! Several Wi-Fi hotspots are located in the Dachstein West ski region - in the fun park, in ski huts and lift stations. Share the latest fun, send photos and get updated on the latest news.

Night skiing Gosau

Night is turned into day in the Dachstein West ski area, as Gosau offers a small night ski area. At Ötscherlift, the bottom section of the valley run is illuminated for night skiing one a week. The approx. 1 km night ski piste is marked a red slope. As part of the night ski offer, Brumsipiste nearby the Hornspitzbahn lift's valley station is also illuminated for beginners and children. Both pistes can be used in the extended opening hours from 18:30 - 20:30. The Hornspitz umbrella bar invites you stay at the end of your night skiing evening. The Ötscher area also offers a racing track as well as the Ötscher Kids Park with steep curves and wavy track.

Après ski Gosau

Gosau is a rather traditional, upper Austrian mountain village, so an over-abundance of apres ski isn't offered. However, sociability and hospitality are top priorities and families in particular feel very welcome here.

Many leisure time activities are offered here, e.g. horse-drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, curling or even enjoying a drink at the local regulars' table. Gosau also offers over 40 km of wonderful, snowy winter hiking trails that are just waiting to be explored. After a strenuous day on the piste, a visit to the umbrella bar at the Hornspitz valley run is definitely worthwhile.

Snowpark: Family Park Dachstein West - Kids Run Gosau

The "Dachstein West" ski region has a total of four different fun parks for younger visitors. In addition to the piste highlights, the Family Park and the new Kidsrun in Dachstein West guarantee variety and fun. The little ones get their money's worth in the children's areas. With super beginner slopes, magic carpets, race tracks and neighbouring ski schools, families are in good hands here.

Other fun park attractions include the "Ötscher Kids Park" in Gosau, the "Anna Park" in Annaberg and the "Rookie Park" in Russbach. Small waves, banked turns, jumps, boxes and rails are ideal for practising here.
