Location and facilities
The comfortable, 4-star Aktiv Hotel Hochfilzer is located directly in the resort centre of Ellmau. The Vorderstätt lift is only approx. 500 m away, and the Hartkaiser lift can be reached within approx. 1.3 km. The free ski bus stops a few metres from the hotel and takes you to other lifts. The cross-country trails can be accessed in approx. 500 m. Cafés, bars, restaurants and numerous shopping facilities can be found nearby.The hotel consists of a main building and a side building called "Pension Claudia" (3-star rating), which can be reached after about 300 m. The comfortable main building's facilities include a friendly reception area with reception, lift, dining halls, parlours and a sociable bar, Wi-Fi (incl.), a fitness room as well as a ski and snowboard room with boot dryers. The spacious spa area is approx. 430 m² large and offers an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, a saline steam bath, infrared cabin, sun terrace and a panoramic sauna, which can all be used for free (8 a.m. - 8 p.m.). Massage treatments can be booked in resort (payable locally).
For children there is a play room as well a a child-care service for children between 3 - 12 years (Sun. - Fri., 18:00 - 20:00). The hotel also organises live music evenings and once per week there is a mulled wine party (incl.). Free-of-charge parking spaces and a parking garage (payable locally) are available at the main building.
For the length of your stay you will receive the Wilder Kaiser Guest Card with which you can take part in various activities for free or for a discounted price. You can also use the free ski buses and will receive many more more discounts (subject to change, cannot be redeemed in cash).
Rooms
The rooms are furnished in Tyrolean style, have a bath or shower/wc, cable-TV, Wi-Fi (incl.), telephone, safe (incl.), a hair dryer and some come with a balcony. Allocation takes place in the main and side buildings.Board
The half-board PLUS, which is included in the holiday price, comprises a welcome drink, a rich breakfast buffet with organic products (cold/warm), daily soup buffet in the late afternoon, and a 4-course menu of your choice (3 main dishes to choose from) with starter and salad buffet in the evening. Every week a themed buffet, such as a farmer's buffet or a gala dinner, are offered. The Christmas and New Year's Eve menus are also included. Children's menus can also be prepared.Pets

Important notes
- Guests in the Pension Claudia will find breakfast served in the Pension Claudia whereas all other board services are to take place in the Hotel Hochfilzer.
