Ski area Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen

The ski area consists of two sub-areas: the Ehrwalder Alm and the Wettersteinbahnen. The Ehrwalder Alm has 7 lifts and approx. 27.5 kilometres of piste in total. However, the neighbouring Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen ski area at the foot of the Zugspitze is in no way inferior to the Ehrwalder Alm. The Wetterstein mountain range offers fun on a total of 21 kilometres of piste in all levels of difficulty and also has 2 chairlifts and t-bar lifts. The ski area with its practice slope and Kinderland is ideal for little skiers in particular.

With its high-altitude sun terraces, perfectly groomed pistes and reliability of snow, Ehrwald fulfils all the wishes of winter sports enthusiasts! This is why the Ehrwalder Alm ski area has once again been awarded the Tyrolean Piste Seal of Quality.

Ehrwald also scores highly when it comes to lift systems: In addition to the 8-seater gondola lift, which takes you comfortably up to the Ehrwalder Alm, the ski region has 3 state-of-the-art 6-seater chair lifts with weather protection bonnets and heated seats.

With the "Top Snow Card", you also have access to 10 ski areas with a total of 215 kilometres of piste and 89 lift systems, including Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze on the German side as well as Biberwier, Lermoos, Berwang and Mittenwald in Austria (see ski region).

Night skiing Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen

The nearest night skiing area is also not far from Ehrwald. In neighbouring Lermoos, approx. 4 km away, popular night skiing is possible. The small but beautiful night skiing area is located right on the outskirts of the village and forms the centre of evening skiing fun in the ski area. The 8-seater Family Jet gondola lift takes you up to an approx. 0.5 km long piste, which is floodlit. Once a week, the operating hours of the gondola lift are extended so that you can ski on the blue piste until approx. 20:30. To round off the night skiing, there is the opportunity to take part in torch-lit runs. Together with ski instructors, romantics and night owls can ski down into the twilight with a torch or glow stick in hand. In the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, there is another night skiing piste in Bergwangertal that invites you to ski in the evening.

Après ski Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen

Après ski in Ehrwald tends to be quiet and sociable in one of the rustic huts with a cosy atmosphere. A popular address for this is the umbrella bar, which is located right in the centre of Ehrwald and provides an exuberant atmosphere. But you can also round off a successful day's skiing in style directly at the valley station, for example in the Ganghoferhütte, where live music is also played on some days.

In addition, Ehrwald offers many other things to do after skiing. For example, a relaxing stay in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena family pool, a fun tobogganing evening with the whole family or an extended snowshoe hiking tour - the choice is yours!

Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm/Wettersteinbahnen: Betterpark Snowpark, Snowpark by MINI

The professionally built Ehrwalder Alm snowpark is located in the centre of the ski area, along the Klämmli piste, and is groomed to perfection every day. The Klämmli lift, which is just as long as the park, provides one run after another. Various jumps (6 - 12 metres), rails, boxes and much more, spread over 3 lines (small, medium and large), offer plenty of practice opportunities for beginners and pros alike.
