Ski area Gastein

The lift pass "Ski amadé" gives you access to a total of 760 km of piste as well as 270 lifts (see ski region)! With its 197 km of piste (incl. 21 km of ski routes) and 43 lifts, the ski region Gastein is known as one of the biggest and most beautiful ski area in Salzburger Land. Thanks to its high altitude (up to 2,686 m) and numerous snow guns, ideal snow conditions can mostly be found until springtime.

Gastein valley awaits you with four ski areas with a diverse, perfectly connected offer: the ski Dorfgastein-Großarltal and Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel, Graukogel and Sportgastein, all of which let winter sports fans' hearts beat faster. For beginners, there are lots of wide pistes up of Dorfgastein and on the other side of Fulsek in Großarl valley, that await. From the mountain station at Fulseck you have a wonderful view of Großglockner Glacier and Dachstein. You won't want to miss the natural snow pistes at Graukogel, despite the fact they are only reachable from the valley.

Also interesting for the advanced one, is Sportgastein, one of the highest ski region in the entire Ski amadé, it's perfect for cracks with its ski routes, deep snow slopes and mogul slope. The interconnected ski area from Stubnerkogel to Schlossalm is the largest interconnected area in Gasteiner Valley and thanks to its high altitudeup to 2,300 m, it's very snow sure. Freestyler have two very nice snow parks in Stubner and Kreuzkogel at their disposal, where the more advanced ones can try out their new moves.sc

The large, various ski area is especially suited for families with children. Magic carpet, play area, ski schools and exercise meadows, all of this are perfect for the little ones first tries in the snow, while the most advanced ones enjoy the offer of sunny and wide slopes in the ski area.

Furthermore, there are Wi-Fi Hotspots in the ski area available, so you can share your photos and holiday impressions with your loved one at home.

Après ski Dorfgastein

In Dorfgastein, both fans of party and lovers of relaxation will find what they are looking for in the evening. Everone thirsty and in a party mood is welcome in the various huts, and the umbrella bars Thomaselli and Salettl are popular meetings points at the valley station. Those who want to stay active after skiing should try the easily manageable panoramic winter hiking path on the high plateau above the valley. Here you can look forward to a stroll with a great view in all directions. A snow shoe trail is available from Fulseck to Arltörl middle station.

With activities such as curling, ice skating or a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh, Dorfgastein has something for everyone. The solar bath invites you to swim, take a sauna and relax.

Those interested in history can visit Klammstein Castle at the entrance to the valley near Dorfgastein, which has an exhibition on the development of the castle. Families should not miss out on a visit to the fortress either: Exciting ghost tours are offered here for little spooky fans. Finally, rustic inns and pubs invite you to round off the evening with a cosy get-together.

Snowpark: Snowpark Grossarltal Dorfgastein

In the Großarl-area of the ski area, a well equipped fun park can be found at the Sonnebahn lift mountain station. It is approx. 500 m long and offers rails, slides, wavy tracks, a wallride and boarder cross. A special Easy Line is available for beginners to try out what they can do. Right next to it you can find the fun slope with tunnels and steep curves, easily reached by the tow lift Kreuzhöhe. A SkiMovie-slope is also available here. If you want to take a break from jibbing and freestyling you can relax in the chill area.
