3.5 km Cross-country trails (in km):
In the entire Gastein Valley, 36 km of cross-country ski trails are at your disposal, which are situated on varied routes. For example, along the Gasteiner Ache, through the villages as well as routes in the valley or on the mountain. Directly through Dorfgastein leads the 3.5 km long Mühlbachloipe (trail), which starts not far from the Mühlbachstüberl. It is easy to master in classic and skating style and therefore very suitable for beginners, but also for sporty runners.
Furthermore, the cross-country ski trail in Angertal is recommendable, as it impresses with its scenic highlights. The high-altitude trail at Sportgastein, which is located at an altitude of around 1,600 metres, promises guaranteed snow and a wonderful winter panorama. A cross-country skiing centre with changing rooms, hire facilities and cross-country skiing schools can also be found here. There are floodlit trails in Bad Gastein (for a fee) and in the spa gardens of Bad Hofgastein, where you can also try out laser biathlon.
