Ski area Brandnertal – Brand/Bürserberg

The "Montafon Brandnertal WildPass" lift pass is valid in six attractive winter sports areas in the Montafon (Silvretta Montafon, Gargellen, Golm, Silvretta Bielerhöhe - Partenen, Brandnertal - Brand/Bürserberg and Kristberg - Silbertal) and gives you access to 286 kilometres of pistes (including 62 km of ski routes) and 77 lifts. This makes the Montafon one of the largest ski regions in Vorarlberg. This includes a spectacular panoramic aerial tramway at around 1,700 metres, a real highlight. It connects the two ski areas of Brand and Bürserberg.

The Brandnertal ski area is considered a Vorarlberg "ski jewel". The slopes above the villages of Brand and Bürserberg are ideally suited for skiers and snowboarders who prefer easy and intermediate runs. In addition, the focus in the ski area is on comfort for the guests: Thus, all longer distances are bridged by chairlifts and cable cars.

Brandnertal is also known as a paradise for ski tourers. Three routes lead through the mountain world - the most attractive of them: a tour to the highest peak of the Rätikon, the Schesaplana.

Night skiing Bürserberg (Brandner Valley)

Directly at the edge of the resort Brand, one of the two main resorts of the Brandnertal ski area and the placid neighbouring resort of Bürserberg you can look forward to night skiing on a beginner-friendly piste, when the Schedlerhof towlift extends its operation times once per week. The exact times and dates for night skiing are announced on the local notice board. Night skiing is for free when you own a several days lift pass and / or the Brandnertal tourist card.

On some night ski evenings, the resort organises ski races for the guests, and everybody can participate for a small fee. Food and drink are available in the nearby "Thomy's Liftstüble".

Après ski Bürserberg (Brandner Valley)

Après ski fans can bustle about in the especially numerous amounts of pubs and taverns in Brand - the selection ranges from traditional live music to beats spun from a DJ's turntables. Those who prefer to stay in motion can go exploring on one of the many winter hiking trails - pass by the secretive stone circles or up onto the Tschegla high plateau. There on the Alpe Rona, hikers can not only take a break with fresh alpine products but can also learn about the process of cheese production from a "Senn", or Alpine dairyman. Rapid sledge rides are also possible on the 1.4 km long toboggan run in Bürserberg although a total of four runs are spread out over the entire Brandner Valley – the longest, with approx. 10 km length, is the Schattenlagant toboggan run in Brand. On Tuesdays and Fridays, night tobogganing is also offered in Brand and Bürserberg. You can receive detailed information in resort.

On the other hand, those who prefer to experience something truly special can find two special highlights: the first are the 17 huskies of Anton Kuttner a.k.a. "Husky Toni", with whom you can participate in a snowshoe hike with his canine friends or take a sledge ride. Children can also become little experts while mushing with the dogs in the children's dog sledging school. The adventure continues with a first class climbing experience: In the ice climbing area of Flurschrofa, you'll take on a frozen waterfall.

Snowpark: Snowpark Backyards Bürserberg (Brandner Valley)

The "Backyards" snow park in Brandnertal is one of the longest fun parks in Vorarlberg and offers up to 30 different obstacles such as kickers, rails, boxes and jumps at the Glatthochbahn. The park is constantly being brought into shape by the team on site and thus redesigned in such a way that new highlights are regularly created. As a result, boredom is guaranteed to be a thing of the past!

A chill area invites you to relax with casual music after freestyling. Thanks to the flexible and individually designed lines, the park offers sufficient riding possibilities for every level - from beginner to pro. The park can be reached via the Palüd 8-seater gondola lift.
