Ski area Grandvalira
The largest ski area in Europe outside the Alps consists of the Pas de la Casa/Grau Roig and Soldeu/El Tarter areas. With 100 km of blue, 82 km of red and 33 km of black pistes, there is something for everyone in the ski area. The modern lift facilities create the perfect connection between the individual slopes. Thanks to its altitude of up to 2,640 metres and the humid Atlantic air, the Grandvalira ski resort is also extremely snow-sure. Nevertheless, there are over 1,000 snow cannons in the ski area, which help out in an emergency and make 65% of the pistes snow-covered. Connoisseurs should ski down the almost 6 km long Tosa de la Llosada with a difference in altitude of 850 metres, while action lovers can try the Gaig in Canillo. Over a length of just 1.3 km, it covers a whopping 450 metres in altitude! Freestylers and night skiing fans will also get their money's worth in this versatile ski resort.
Wi-fi hotspots are available throughout the ski resort, giving you access to the internet. With your Grandvalira ski pass, you can also use the Ordino Arcalís ski area with a further 30 kilometres of pistes and 15 lifts.
Night skiing Soldeu
In Andorra's largest ski resort, you can't miss out on the popular night skiing. There are even two night skiing areas in Grandvalira: The larger one is in Pas de la Casa, where the "Tubs" piste invites you to ski at night. The "La Solana" 4-seater chairlift takes you to the start of the 1.5-kilometre-long run, which is marked in blue and provides skiing fun for young and old alike.A little outside of Soldeu is another night skiing area in Le Peretol (1,960 m). Here, the Peretol T-bar lift serves a piste of around 500 metres, on which the "Sunset Park Henrik Harlaut" snow park is completely floodlit. The large freestyle area is not directly connected to the other pistes in the Grandvalira ski area, but is easily accessible via the valley road. Evening skiing fun takes place here every week from Tuesday to Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Après ski Soldeu
Après-ski in Pas de la Casa is extremely lively thanks to the low prices and the predominantly young crowd. Many bars are just a stone's throw away from each other and are within easy walking distance. From quaint pubs to classy bars - everyone can party to their heart's content in Pas de la Casa! The Cala Bassa beach Club (CBbC), one of Ibiza's most popular beach clubs, has recently opened in the snow in Grandvalira, offering Mediterranean cuisine, deckchairs and DJs right on the piste. We also recommend the Igloo Bar at the Pic Blanc chairlift. Built purely out of snow, the hotel offers an exceptional après-ski location in a relaxed atmosphere. You will also get your money's worth in culinary terms, as there are countless restaurants offering both regional and international specialities.
El Tarter may be a small village, but when it comes to partying, it's done properly! As soon as the lifts close, the restaurant L'Abarset opens and organises parties with well-known international DJs and artists throughout the winter season. L'Abarset is without doubt the best-known party spot in the region and is therefore very popular throughout the resort. The "Snowclub El Tarter by San Miguel" at the foot of the piste is also very popular and therefore always well attended. For night owls, the "Pussycat Disco" or "Nemo's Nightclub" keep the party going until the early hours of the morning.
Encamp is in a quiet location. However, you can always find a sociable spot in one of the numerous patisseries where you can indulge in sweet specialities. We particularly recommend the "Granja Casal Fleca", the oldest patisserie in the village, and "El Pastis del Valira", which mainly offers Argentinian desserts.
For those who prefer to be active off the piste, there is a wide range of leisure activities on offer: from snowmobiling or dog sledding to paintball, snowshoe hikes or snow bike tours. The surrounding villages also offer activities such as the zip line in Canillo, the wellness centre in Soldeu and helicopter tours. So everyone is sure to find the kind of holiday they want.
Snowpark: Snowpark El Tarter / Sunrise Park Xavi / Sunset Park Henrik Harlaut Soldeu
Freestylers will find a true paradise in the Grandvalira ski resort. A total of three snow parks are available here, including the only night park in Andorra. Various obstacles and a kicker line await freestylers in the El Tarter snow park. The Coliflor Freestyle park crew also offers a freestyle academy here, which is open daily. Kickers and jib elements can also be found in the Xavi snow park in Grau Roig. And in the Sunset Park Henrik Harlaut with Bag Jump, the lights stay on in the evening - with the help of a floodlight system that runs at full speed from Tuesday to Sunday evenings. Various events and competitions are also held regularly, where amateurs and international freestyle pros show off their skills.
