Ski area Wildkogel-Arena

The "Wildkogel-Arena" between the Kitzbühel Alps and the Tauernkamm offers skiers and snowboarders excellent conditions on 75 kilometres of piste.

The ski area offers 20 modern and comfortable lifts - from platter lifts to the newly built 10-person "Ganzer X-press" gondola. From Bramberg there is the Smaragdbahn lift and from the Neukirchen the Wildkogelbahn. Once there, you can enjoy the majestic panorama of the Hohe Tauern National Park from the look-out points, with a grand panorama of the National Park Hohe Tauern and views of the several 3,000-m mountains and the "highest Salzburger", the Großvenediger (3,666 m). The ski area is particularly popular for families with children. The snow-sure ski area offers runs for all skill levels, ensuring fun on the piste for all. The extremely wide and open pistes offer tons of space for carving and boarding.

The little ones can spend the day at the Preimislift in Neukirchen as well as at the family lift Wennsergletscher in Bramberg, where plenty of suitable pistes can be found. The smallest ones will be taken care of in the "Kogel-Mogel Kinderland". Freestylers will get their money's worth in the newly established fun park at the Tellerlift in "Wolkenstein".

The valley runs to Neukirchen and Bramberg can both be snowed in artificially. The piste down to Bramberg is one of the longest in the ski area with 14 km and not only that - the longest lit toboggan run in the world can also be found here.

The Wildkogel Arena ski area is also considered to be a particularly environmentally friendly ski resort: at an altitude of 2,100 m, there is one of the highest solar power plants in Europe - a photovoltaic system that covers 75 percent of the total electricity requirements of the Wildkogel lifts. In addition, the Wildkogel Arena is a member of the "Alpine Pearls", which are committed to environmentally friendly vacations.

Even more variety and fun on the slopes is offered by the upgrade to the "Zillertal Arena" (see ski region). On the 147 kilometers of slopes and 52 lifts, skiers and snowboarders will find a wide range of offers for every skiing level. Almost 100 percent snow reliability and skiing up to 2,500 m guarantee the perfect skiing vacation for the whole family.

Après ski Neukirchen am Großvenediger

Find enough sporty fun away from the pistes in Neukirchen. Take part in an extensive winter hike, a ride on the horse sleigh, observe wild animals being fed, or make a riding excursion through the romantic winter landscape. Brave tourists can enjoy the breathtaking view of the landscape of the region from a bird's eye view while paragliding.

Especially interesting is the longest lit up toboggan run in the world! Starting in Bramberg, you take the Smaragd lift to approx. 2,100 m altitude, where the start of the run can be found. After a mere 10-minute walk you reach the Wildkogel lift in Neukirchen, from where you can access 14 km of toboggan fun covering a difference in altitude of 1,300 m and taking you down all the way to Bramberg.

For some après ski fun, you will find several umbrella bars and pubs in resort, some of them are open till very late.

Snowpark: Snow park Neukirchen am Großvenediger

In the "Wildkogel-Arena" there is a small but enjoyable fun park that is especially suitable for beginners and intermediates. Here you can let off steam on the boxes and kickers. The park is located at the drag lift "Wolkenstein".
